Captain’s Cup is a traditional tournament, usually organized by the Club Captain, and is a standard event in our annual calendar. It serves as a way for the Captains to bring members together in a competitive yet social atmosphere.
This year Captain’s Cup will have a Ryder’s Cup style format, combining 9 holes Fourballs and 9 holes Texas Scramble in a single round of 18 holes!
The Friendly Challenge Matches will be contested between the Captan‘s Team and the Vice Captain’s Team!
Teams & Pairings will be prepared by the Tournament Committee (for a fair & “handicap balanced” result)
*Depending on the player’s final number, some Single Matches may be added too. Format: Match Play (NET)

*Fourballs - Each player will play his/her own ball & Handicap. The LOWER score will count as the team’s hole score. The 9 hole match decided by the holes won (not strokes won)

Single Matches - 18 holes__Match Play (NET). Points earned toward the team’s score: Win=1 Draw=0.5
👉 Scoring System
Each Nine Holes awards 1 point (for a win) or 0.5 point (for a draw) toward each flight’s final result (18 holes).
Total Points for 18 holes = 2
Scoring examples:
1. Team 1 wins both Front and Back 9 holes (e.g both Fourballsw & Scramble):
• Team 1 = 2 points
2. Team 1 wins the front nine but loses the back nine:
• Team 1 = 1 point
• Team 2 = 1 point
3. Team 1 loses the front nine and ties the back nine:
• Team 1 = 0.5 point
• Team 2 = 1.5 points
👉 All earned points will be added automatically to the Leaderboard.
Note: If the _9-hole match_ result has been decided, for example, ‘2&1’ (meaning one side is 2 up with only 1 hole remaining), players may continue to play the remaining holes for enjoyment, maintaining the normal pace of play of the tournament. However, these holes shall not affect the official “9 holes” match result.
‼️ Withdrawals Policy
Due to the Team format of the event, last-minute withdrawals are strongly discouraged!
The following policy applies in the event of a player withdrawal during the competition:
In exceptional circumstances where a withdrawal cannot be avoided (e.g., due to injury), the remaining partner shall continue the match ALONE, competing all or the remaining holes in a Match Play Format with 100% of his Playing Handicap.
The opposing team shall play the Scramble format as originally scheduled keeping their team’s reduced handicap (35,15).
During the Fourball segment, their Playing Handicap will be calculated at 75% of their original handicaps (reduced by 25% each). This adjustment aims to maintain a fair and balanced competition between both Teams
The Tournament Committee will conduct the official handicap adjustments and scoring review upon completion of the match (in other words, write down your scores and the committee will calculate your score at the end)!
👉 Tee Times will start from hole#1 at 13:20’ with 10’ Interval between each flight.
In case of golf buggies shortage, the use of electric push carts is recommended.
